JWELL Single Screw Extruder Screw Barrel is designed for a broad range of polymer processing duties where material compatibility, surface durability and stable extrusion performance are important. The product can be manufactured from several alloy and specialty materials, including 38CrMoAlA (JIS SACM645), 42CrMo (JIS SCM440), 9Cr18MoV, SKD11, Hastelloy C276 and Zinc No. 3 steel. This material selection supports different requirements for strength, wear resistance and corrosion resistance.
Available heat and surface treatments include nitriding, electroplated hard-chrome finishing, high-frequency quenching, sprayed bimetallic coating and vacuum quenching. These treatment options protect working surfaces exposed to friction, pressure, temperature and potentially corrosive processing materials. The sprayed bimetallic layer is specifically intended to improve wear and corrosion resistance.
The single screw and barrel can be applied to plastic product extrusion, including pipe, sheet, plate, blown film, extrusion coating and hollow blow molding. It also supports chemical fiber processing with PET and PA6 for film, non-woven fabric and rope fiber production. Additional applications include plastic recycling and pelletizing, as well as cable extrusion for PVC, PE, PBT and fluoroplastic materials.
Different materials and treatments address different production demands. Nitriding and hard-chrome finishing provide alternative surface solutions, while high-frequency or vacuum quenching changes the treatment route for the selected steel.
