JWELL PEM / AEM Solution Casting Production Line

JWELL's proton exchange membrane (PEM) and anion exchange membrane (AEM/SOEC) solution casting production line forms exchange membranes from polymer solutions—such as PSVE copolymers and polyethersulfone (PES) in NMP or DMF—on PET or mesh substrates, with mass-production speeds of 1.0–2.0 m/min or a test-line speed of 0.1 m/min.
Key Selling Points
- Precision Slot-Die Casting: Double-sided or single-sided precision slit extrusion casting of reactor-fed polymer solutions.
- Wet and Dry Film Forming: Coagulation water tanks in SUS 316 for wet forming, or hot-air drying ovens ≥60 m for dry forming.
- Integrated Process Routes: Supports solution casting, film peeling, catalyst coating, and slitting or sheet cutting on related process lines.
- Substrate Options: PET (120–280 μm) or support mesh (100–280 μm); peeled PET can be recycled.
- Quality Options: Guiding with optional edge trim and reserved CCD defect detection.

Application Scenario
Used to produce proton exchange membranes (PEM) and anion exchange membranes (AEM/SOEC) for electrochemical applications. Process routes include solution slit casting on PET or mesh, peeling and washing of cast films, catalyst coating, and finished-membrane slitting or sheet cutting.

Product Description

This line is designed for manufacturers of ion-exchange membranes who cast polymer solutions into continuous film. Wet coagulation tanks and long hot-air ovens can be combined according to the membrane chemistry, and peeled PET substrates may be reused.
Mass-production speed is typically 1.0–2.0 m/min; a test line can run at 0.1 m/min. Contact JWELL with your polymer system, solvent, substrate, width and target membrane thickness for a configured proposal.
