Engineered for plastic plate and sheet extrusion lines, the JWELL High-Efficiency Thin-Wall Calender Roller improves heat transfer while maintaining the strength required for continuous production. Its roller shell is only 50%–70% as thick as that of a standard roller. By minimizing the internal support contact area and increasing the cooling-water contact area, the design transfers heat more efficiently and helps stabilize processing conditions.
An integrated circular flow-channel structure compensates for the reduced shell thickness and increases pressure-bearing strength. Under the same operating conditions, this high-efficiency calender roller can raise plate and sheet line output by 20%–50%, making it a practical upgrade for manufacturers seeking higher productivity without changing the complete extrusion process.
The roller is quenched and tempered to create a dense, stable internal structure. Deep quenching of the outer surface achieves HRC 55–58, while electrolytic hard chrome plating can increase surface hardness to HRC 60–62 for improved wear resistance and service life. Precision grinding and polishing are available for mirror and super-mirror finishes. Additional surface options include leather grain, matte, mist, frosted, and net-textured treatments to meet different sheet appearance and processing requirements.
