JWELL High-speed Film Coating Die Series

A high-speed coating die for films below 5000 mm wide and 0.012-0.12 mm thick, with online width adjustment.

Key Selling Points

  • Online Width Changes: Manual internal deckles adjust width without stopping production.
  • Reduced Edge Waste: Independently adjustable seals limit thick-edge polymer and substrate loss.
  • Repeatable Settings: Fixed closure settings simplify later width changes.
  • Fast Maintenance: Open access supports removal of carbonized polymer with a brass scraper.
  • Leak-Resistant Sealing: Cooling seal structure supports long production runs.
  • Protected Heating: Enclosed stainless-steel heater rods provide zoned process heat.

Applications / Material Options

  • PP, PE, PET, and EVA extrusion-coating products
  • Coating widths below 5000 mm and thicknesses from 0.012 to 0.12 mm, as stated in the source

Product Description

JWELL extrusion coating die is designed for high-speed coating production using PP, PE, PET, or EVA. The supplied document states a product width below 5000 mm and a coating thickness range of 0.012-0.12 mm. A special T-type manifold flow-channel design works with a manual internal-deckle width-adjustment device, allowing operators to change production width online without stopping the line.

Each edge-sealing stage can be adjusted independently to reduce the formation of thick edges. By limiting unnecessary edge build-up, the die is intended to reduce waste of both polymer and substrate during width changes and steady production. The closure assembly is adjusted as a complete unit. After the product reaches the required edge-thickness condition, the closure settings can be fixed so subsequent width changes do not require the full edge-sealing system to be readjusted.

Maintenance access is built into the width-control concept. Operators can quickly open the thick-edge adjustment system and use a brass scraper to remove carbonized polymer that may cause die lines. A cooling seal structure is specified to support long-duration production without polymer leakage. Heating is provided by fully enclosed built-in stainless-steel heater rods for a protected, energy-conscious arrangement.

This die series is suitable for processors comparing online width flexibility, edge-waste control, cleaning access, and sealing stability for extrusion-coated film or substrate applications. For quotation and engineering review, buyers should provide polymer grade, substrate, target width and thickness, coating speed, edge-trim strategy, extruder connection, heating controls, and line layout. The 5000 mm width reference should be confirmed for the exact configuration before order release.
